Hi Claudia, I’m Wira Widya a Journalist from WhatIWear, thank you for spending your great time for answering some questions from us. I’m interested to know more about your fashion taste and also your blog HolyNights. Hopefully, you are enthusiastic and can give us some insight on your style. Hereby I arranged some questions:
Hi Claudia, I’m Wira Widya a Journalist from WhatIWear, thank you for spending your great time for answering some questions from us. I’m interested to know more about your fashion taste and also your blog HolyNights. Hopefully, you are enthusiastic and can give us some insight on your style. Hereby I arranged some questions:
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself and where
you live.
My
name is Claudia Santas Noites (Santas Noites means Holynights actually,
thats why i named my blog after it), i'm from Portugal and i was born in
a very small town, i'm a country girl ;) from Pinhão, Douro.
Although it is a small town the people there are quite open minded,
i always had a alternative style, since childhood, so i never felt
judge, well my mum always were very edgy too maybe that because of her.
But i'm not the kind of person who cares about that neither, maybe i am
and just never noticed it :) Well when i went to college just moved in
with my boyfriend to Oporto, now we are studying Interior design
together on ESAD matosinhos.
2. What sets
your style apart from other personal style bloggers?
I don't know fur sure what sets me apart, i'm just
true to myself, i dress what i like and mix vintage pieces with brand
new ones in a very dark style, i'm almost always in black.
3. What are some of your favorite boutiques that you must visit in your area or when you go shopping?
Here in Oporto i just look for Thrift and alternative
stores, i buy almost all my shoes at Oblivion Alternative Wear in Santa
Catarina. The rest i search on the internet buy a lot of stuff from Asos
and a lot of vintage pieces from Etsy.
4. What is
your favorite outfit that you've posted so far?
The one i would point out is a very simple one
from last spring. Where i feature a all black look with high waisted
skinny jeans, a velvet crop top, creepers and layer two jackets a
leather one underneath and my favorite piece, my acid wash denim jacket
from Levi's that i got from Etsy that defines my when i'm in a more
comfortable style. (here is the link for that look on my blog http://holy-nights.blogspot. pt/2013/04/light-my-fire.html
) Other look that is very typical of me, because i wear skirts or
dresses at least 5 days a week, and that i love is one where i'm
featuring my actual favorite dress, a velvet on and my favorite piece of
jewelry, my velvet choker with a across, again all black with denim (
and here it is http://holy-nights.blogspot. pt/2013/10/sometimes-you-have- to-get-lost-to-find.html )
5. Are there any fashion icons or famous
people whose style you admire?
I follow some people and i get inspired by them
fur sure, Alice Dellal is one of them, just love that punk look,
Violleta E is a blogger that i personally adore such as Luanna P.
6. The first thing you look at in
another person's outfit is
The shoes.
7. What would you say to someone seeking
fashion advice?.
Just be yourself, be comfortable in your skin and don't be afraid of clothes, you can play with them and be bold.
8. Your hair
is amazing, how do you keep it so thick and healthy?
I
don't have lots of cares with my hair, just wash it every other day and
i always use moisturizing mask followed by conditioner and before
brushing just spread serum around the tips.
9. What fall
trends do you love and which do you hate?
I love 90's, bohemian and witchy vibes. Just hate wedged or heeled sneakers, i don't care that much for a sporty kind of look.
10. What is your next "must
have" purchase?
Some
Grinders boots that i got my eyes, mind, heart and soul on. Just heard
that they will not made again and i'm dying to buy a pair with steel
toe, maybe for Christmas. (here is a pic of them http://www.metal-shop.eu/ images/produkty/64777_1.jpg )
